Броят на жертвите от мощното земетресение във Филипините се увеличи до 60, съобщи GMA News, позовавайки се на Филипинската служба за гражданска защита.

Трусът с магнитуд 6,9 по Рихтер удари централната част на страната късно снощи българско време. Епицентърът е бил в морето на около 11 км източно-югоизточно от град Калапе, провинция Бохол. Земетресението предизвика сериозни щети по сгради и пътища, а спасителни екипи работят в градовете Сан Ремигио и Бого, където има опасения за затрупани хора. „Възможно е да има хора под срутените сгради“, заяви провинциалният спасителен служител Уилсън Рамос.
